Today I (A) made this painting...not sure you would call it a painting, though!
Here's how it goes: I had a dream in which I was walking in a house and saw many student paintings on the walls. I saw one, which I knew was mine, which was in the ceiling corner. The canvas was shaped into the corner and had a black + turquoise vortex... So in the studio today, it became real!
The idea is that the painting will go in the corner of a room/gallery.
Close-ups:
I taped/stapled three canvases, then painted on them. At some angles, there is a fight from the inherent 3D structure of it, and the flatness it seems to have...ahh!! Vortex.

ReplyDeletealso, thanks for your comments on my blog :). and yes i do make some clothes occasionally, although i'm not sure if sewing is my forte :P. I will actually be posting some creations soon! as for croquis.. sometimes i use a croquis, and sometimes i draw it without one. depends on the look i'm going for.
